Round 13 2019 Report

Under 8’s: Player of the week was Mia, shot 2 goals in attack and then had a great game in defence in the second half. Well done Mia! Great shooting!

Under 21s: Interesting game for the U21’s on the weekend, with a 3/4 time forfeit for the opposing team, we were happy to walk away with a win. Although disappointingly we weren’t able to increase our goal average by much we took the win and the early finish to our best benefit leading into the finals. Special mention to the attacking end of the court moving the ball around the circle with ease, in order to have our best chance against that strong wind. Great game girls.

Open B1’s: Despite not wanting to take their jumpers off at the start...the girls pulled together another win 31-14 in very windy and cold conditions. There wasn’t many long passes either because no one was game in those conditions or our fingers were frozen. Our shooters were unbelievable and everyone played together as a team brilliantly. A huge shout out to Wally who stepped up to the challenge of C for 3/4 and at the end of the game even self proclaimed “It’s the fittest she’s ever been.” 😂 😘

Open C2’s: Tough game down a player with the wind playing a major part for both sides, although we didn’t win we tried our best and had fun
