Round 11 2019 Report

Under 8s: It’s always tough coming back after a holiday, especially when you have a bye the first week! Well done to the under 8’s for not giving up!!Player of the week was Madeleine, using great elevation to defend and find space and breaking in attack! Well done Madeleine!!

Under 21s: a big win of 60-11 against the team at the bottom of the ladder, which will hopefully boost the girls into the top 4. The girls were very humble in their victory, making everyone on the sideline very proud of them. Shout out to Ellen for her many intercepts - great game girls!!

B1’s: We had a huge win (75-11) over the bottom of the table today.. who were unfortunate to play most of the game with only 6 players which turned out to be great for our for/against percentage. We went into the game missing a shooter and a defence but the girls covered it beautifully! Great work team 👌🏻

C1’s: Another great game with some fabulous fill ins from Dom and Ally. We are closing the gap on some great teams and for a team that have never played together are becoming more comfortable with each other on the court. Still not quiet there but closing the gap!!

C2’s: A great win for the girls this week!! We came out strong and finished the game even stronger. Everyone played their role and it came together amazingly. Our newest defensive player Maddi showed us why she’s here to play. She pulled in intercepts left, right and centre, but somehow forgot how to catch a ball in the process. She’s got her head in the sky and her hands somewhere missing in action. Can’t wait to see this girl kill it in the next couple of weeks after some intense catching practice.
