Round 7 2019 Report

Under 8’s: Girls played well, up against some very tall and accurate shooters- much improved ball movement down the court and strong defence. Player of the match Lily! Congrats Lily!

Under 21s: A great first half showed their years of experience in playing together. Unfortunately in the second half not everything meshed as well and they fell short in the last quarter. Looking ahead to next week!

B1’s: We suffered another loss today, unfortunately outplayed by some very fast and super tall girls! Shout outs to Yas who returned to shooting this week and blew us away and Mel who whilst being very sick had a quarter in at shooter and then went down to keeper! AND! When was the last time you had an actual toss up in a game?! Under 10s? Well we had one today and managed to come out with ball! Well done girls!!

C1’s: A DRAW!!! We were up the whole game, only lost it in the dying minutes of the last quarter. With both teams without a win, it seemed fitting that the end result was a draw. Great teamwork showed our true potential, we can definitely get them next time! Thanks so much to Sophie from the 21s for filling in - especially playing centre for the whole game AFTER playing centre for most of her game. What a superstar!! (Pictured)

C2’s: An absolute nail biter for the girls today. Unfortunately loosing the game by 1, but winning in spirit points. Today’s score showed that age can over come speed, But sometimes shooting stats says it all. We got to see Hayley come back with a full game this week. I’ll expect to see her at the physio this week after the amount of complaining she did about her “sore” arm. Fortunately for us she still managed to carry the teams shooting and complain at the same time. A girl with many talents 😍
